Thanksgiving

This year we went to my sister's house for Thanksgiving Dinner!
I am not sure she will appreciate me posting this picture of her cooking our Thanksgiving Dinner!  :)
She did a great job making a turkey, even though she doesn't eat meat.  We all enjoyed dinner.

The kids enjoyed hanging out with each other!
Abbie, Vanessa, Elijah, Kaleb, & Uncle Pepe trying to make the bonfire.

Vanessa & Emmett (she thinks he is her baby)

Amber and Vanessa

We watched TV, talked and had a good time!

Jacob and I full after dinner

We all seemed to have a great day!  Even Emily who sat with her nose in a book the whole night!

Emmett thought we needed to play game: 52 Card Pick-up

Thank you for the great Thanksgiving, Kim!!!

Halloween Fun

Halloween was a fun weekend.  On Friday we went to our ward's "Trunk-or-Treat." On Saturday we went to the city's Trunk-or-Treat and festival. Though we didn't do the trunk-or-treat at the city because they charged you to do it.  On Sunday we went trick-or-treating in the neighborhood.  Sunday was a hard one for me to decide on.  It was the Sabbath and normally we don't do things.  This Sunday, being Halloween, I had to decide what to do.   We went trick-or-treating.  I am not positive it was the right thing to do, though.   All said we had a good time.  That night my neighbor's, Jason & Valerie Blaser, gave me one of the best ideas I have ever hear.  They said that their kids choose out a little of their Halloween candy to keep and leave the rest for Jack Skellington.  In return Jack Skellington leaves them a small toy.  Needless to say Jack Skellington came to our house this year, too. :).
Emily's costume (not exactly sure what it is)

Amber as a Greek Goddess & her friend, Savanna (an 80s chick)

Little Bo Peep and her Sheep

                                                         The Sheep (Emmett)

Emily and Elijah (not really sure again here) = 2 very tired kids

Kids = Doctor's visits

Today Emily had to go to the doctor to get her elbow x-rayed because her brother chose to hit her with a metal spatula.  It looks like it is just severely bruised and cut but the doctors want to make sure that the bone is not chipped.  Wow!  What am I going to do?  It seems that they never will get along.

Last week I was at the doctor's office with Emmett because he still has an ear infection.  The week before we were there because Elijah was sick.  Amber goes almost monthly because of headaches.  Those doctors must really like my family.  They are making enough money off of us!  :)

Emmett turned 11 months yesterday!!!!

My baby turned 11 months yesterday!  My how time flies.  He was climbing up the stairs at church when this was taken.  He thinks he is such a big boy.  Today, I tried taking my phone away from him and he wouldn't let go and said "mine."  I didn't even know that he knew that word.  They grow too quickly!

My first Post

I thought I ought to give this blog thing a go.  Our family seems to be going so many different directions at once that it might be nice to post on here about all of them.  I hope you all enjoy it.
